As a fundraiser, we’re doing mini photo sessions. All money raised goes directly to 127 Place thanks to the donations of photographer Elizabeth Milne and AP Equestrian! We will have a holiday theme set as an option to take pictures with that can be used for holiday cards.

When: Mini sessions on October 28. They will be 10 minute sessions with 10+ images delivered by digital gallery.

Where: AP Equestrian in Troutville

Price: $100 without a horse in the picture, $150 with a horse in the picture ($50 Non-refundable Deposit will be required in order to hold your spot) Instructions on deposit will be sent to the first 20 signed up and the remaining balance is due by the day of the mini sessions.

About 5,000 Virginia children are in foster care. Roanoke City has the highest number of children in care at 250 children – 5% of the total number across the Commonwealth. Roanoke County has the tenth highest number of children in care.

127 Place funds some requests that come from social service agencies including beds, groceries, clothing, rent and utility assistance to families, so children can stay with their families and don’t enter foster care. We also provide a storage space for donations of frequently requested items like furniture that churches can use to meet requests. More information about 127 Place in this link.

AP Equestrian is an English equestrian training facility located on the beautiful Sycamore Hills Farm. They offer lessons in Hunter, Jumper and Equitation and provide boarding, training, and sales.
