At Gateway Collective, we believe safe, stable housing shouldn’t be a finish line—it should be a foundation. We are a faith-rooted nonprofit that exists to stop housing instability before it begins. Through our pioneering Community Resource Advocate (CRA) Program, we embed personalized support services directly into affordable housing communities—helping families stay housed, build financial resilience, and pursue long-term goals.

Located in downtown Green Bay, our flagship site—City Center Lofts—is more than just a building. It’s home to 72 working families and an ecosystem of support, including financial coaching, career navigation, community-building events, and a rent-matching savings program. We don’t wait for families to fall into crisis. We walk alongside them—early, consistently, and with dignity.

We’re not just building housing. We’re building a scalable blueprint for lasting change.

THE RESULTS:

Our work is grounded in data, informed by research, and driven by real-world experience. In just our first year, we are seeing powerful early outcomes:

95% housing retention among residents receiving CRA support
75% of families increasing savings or improving credit through financial empowerment
50% of job-seeking tenants securing stable employment
40% increase in school attendance among stably housed children

OUR HISTORY:

Born from Crisis. Built for Prevention.
Gateway Collective was founded by a team of experienced leaders who witnessed the devastating effects of homelessness while working at St. John’s Ministries. We knew that shelter is essential—but by the time a family reaches a shelter, the system has already failed them.

So we set out to change the system.

We created Gateway Collective to move upstream—to build housing and proactive support that stops instability at its source. Our first project, City Center Lofts, opened in 2024 and now houses 72 families with onsite services that promote financial independence, mental wellness, and community connection.

In 2025, we expanded our vision again with Gracyalnys—a first-floor kitchen and collaborative event space that supports food security, economic empowerment, and entrepreneurship for entrepreneurs in our community.

This gala supports all of that—housing, hope, and a pathway to self-sufficiency.
