Lift Up Autism: Raising Awareness, Strength, and Support

Autism is not just a diagnosis—it’s a journey. It’s a world of love, challenges, and triumphs that parents, caregivers, and individuals on the spectrum navigate every day. It’s the sleepless nights, the battles for resources, the misunderstood behaviors, and the deep, unconditional love that fuels the fight for a brighter future.

In the U.S., 1 in 36 children is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Behind every statistic is a family learning to adapt, advocate, and overcome obstacles that many will never fully see or understand. From therapy sessions to school struggles, from sensory sensitivities to communication barriers—every day presents new challenges. But with support, awareness, and compassion, these challenges can be met with hope and resilience.

That’s why we created Lift Up Autism.

This isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s an experience designed to bring our community together to symbolize the struggles and triumphs of autism families through movement. The partner workout represents the weight parents and caregivers carry every day, highlighting the strength, endurance, and determination it takes to lift up a child, a family, and a community affected by autism.

On April 12, 2025, at T2 CrossFit in Bridgeville, PA, we invite you to join us—to sweat, to push, to support, and to make a difference. Every step you take, every dollar you raise, brings us closer to providing crucial resources, events, and services for families who need them the most.

Why the Autism Caring Center?

The Autism Caring Center is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. Founded in 2017, it serves the south/southwest region of Pittsburgh by providing a range of free services, including:

Support Groups: Monthly meetings for parents and individuals throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania, offering a platform to share experiences and receive guidance.
Social Events: Organizing activities that bring together individuals with autism, their families, and friends to foster community and connection.
Advocacy Services: Assisting with inclusion efforts and best practices, including accompanying parents to IEP meetings, court proceedings, and employment discussions.
Training Programs: Offering autism education to schools, businesses, and community groups to promote awareness and acceptance.

Through these initiatives, the Autism Caring Center strives to create a supportive and informed community for those affected by autism.
