I am a 9-year Breast Cancer Survivor and a Volunteer Advocate and Outreach Coordinator for Living Brave through Breast Cancer. Our organization is a non-profit that was established in September 2017. Our mission is to provide support to those affected by breast cancer. We aim to increase awareness, offer early detection screenings, and provide educational resources to the community. Every year on the third Saturday of October, we host an early detection awareness symposium. This event is to not only educate the community about breast cancer but to support five women, or men, who are currently battling this disease.
