As many of you know, growing up I struggled in school -- having trouble sitting still, paying attention, and making friends. Because of that experience, I began volunteering with people with disabilities when I was 13, and it quickly because a passion of mine. I completed a Masters in Special Education in 2010, and have met many of my closest friends through shared experiences working together with those with disabilities.

Currently, I am excited to participate in and help organize Malta Camp USA, a summer camp for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, aimed at building lifelong community after many of the resources offered through schools and other institutions to children with disabilities are no longer available. To keep Malta Camp USA accessible to everyone, we offer the program free of charge to all participants.
