Join our Locke School community in our annual fundraising campaign to support the full range of programming and enrichment on which our school prides itself! With government resources for public education tightening, our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) provides supplemental funding to support enhancements such as:

Cool Culture Passes for every 3K, Pre-K, and Kindergarten family and staff member, granting unlimited, free access to nearly 90 major cultural institutions such as the American Museum of Natural History, the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, and the Central Park Zoo.
Teacher grants for innovative classroom projects, including the preschool's bug kits and Ms. Dana's New Victory Theater partnership, and bigger classroom supplies, such as 3D-printer colored ink spools, rugs, and cozy seating.
Engaging field trips, including Ellis Island, the National Jazz Museum, Children’s Museum of Manhattan, Museum of the City of New York, the Urban Rangers’ Natural Classroom, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Locke on the Block (Fall Fest), Spring Fair, and many other fun community-building special events
Supplies for our parent-run Locke Library and volunteer-supported school garden
Student emergency hygiene reserve of toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, etc.
All graduations (3K, Pre-K, K, and 5th) as well as the 5th grade capstone celebration and free professional cap 'n gown photos
Staff appreciation events throughout the year including a “Welcome Back” breakfast and an outstanding Teacher Appreciation Week

To ensure we can continue to offer the above and more, the Locke School PTA has set a goal of raising $35,000 in one fell swoop. To that end, we have exciting news to share:

One and Done: Want to avoid getting tapped to sell (or buy!) gift wrap or track your kid's pages read in a Read-athon? Us, too! If we hit our big goal now at the start of the year, we won't need to ask you for money in a major fundraiser for the rest of the year!
Huge Fun: We have put together an incredibly fun set of prizes, incentives, and competitions to help “put the fun back in fundraising” for students and staff!
Big Match: A small group of generous lead donors have put forth a $10,000 challenge gift – which means if we raise $10,000, they will match that amount with $10,000 more -- putting us over halfway to our goal!

Each year, we raise funds in support of the next year’s activities. This means it was the generosity of families last year that enabled our children to enjoy this year’s benefits. We hope you’ll join us in responding to the generosity of the past by “paying it forward” with a contribution this year.

No amount is too small, and every donation makes a meaningful difference both in the lives of our children and in helping us reach our goal. We understand that not every family may be in a position to contribute financially at this time, and we want to stress that your support in any form—through time, ideas, or simply spreading the word—is just as valuable and appreciated!
