In the mountains of southern Guatemala, nonprofit Long Way Home turns trash into schools - they engage local communities to pick up waste in their area and use it to build classrooms in rural communities. However, the remote location of this work makes it difficult to collect building supplies such as nails and boards, and limits the community's ability to access necessities.

Engines for Change is raising money to purchase 1-2 motorcycles in Guatemala and donate them to Long Way Home, which will help to ensure future success for the organization and the students it serves.

Global Grid Project has found a lack of basic resources to millions of people. We partner with organizations across the world to increase awareness about resource poverty. With our partners, we create and expand access to basic resources throughout the world.

Engines for Change's mission is to build and foster a community of changemakers who use motorcycles as tools to address today's most pressing global issues, and to provide education and resources that informs and inspires others to make a difference in their own ways.

The two organizations joined forces in early 2023, forming one 501(c)3 under the same EIN (465654449).
