Coffee With A Beekeeper is an informal question and answer session with Scott. No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity and questions for Scott while we walk around and look at the resuced hives.

For the protection of the bees and the private property where they are located, the address and directions will be disclosed in the ticket confirmation email you will receive after selecting "Sign Up to Attend".

Come check out the bee yard and hear the stories of our rescued bees. Like this colony that was rehomed out of the HVAC system of a local elementary school just in time for school to start!

What guides us

Let the Bees Teach

The best teacher isn't a book, a video, or a course. It's the bees. Pay attention, and they'll tell you what they need.

Save the Survivors

Bees that have made it on their own have genetics worth protecting. We remove colonies humanely, never destroy them, saving generation after generation after generation of locally adapted resilient bees.

Make Room for Life

From a backyard bee house to an "untidy" area in your yard where native bees can burrow, small spaces add up. We help people give pollinators a place to land.

Build Stronger Bees

We manage colony-first, for the health of the bees over the size of the harvest, letting strong, locally adapted bees grow and pass their resilience forward.

Choices Have Consequences

Every solution carries unintended consequences. We help people see the impact of small decisions, the pesticide, the weed barrier, the "weed" that was never really a weed.

For the Good of the Whole

A bee colony serves the whole, not the individual. Everyone can contribute something from the toolbox of skills they already carry.
