A Taste of the World directly links to the immigrant communities that the Luminus Network serves, highlighting the rich cultural diversity that makes our community unique. By spotlighting local restaurants, we tangibly celebrate immigrants, immigration, comfort food, and the global phenomena of the hand pie. Cultures across the planet wrap some kind of filling in dough and cook it. Together, let’s explore egg rolls, pupusas, piroshki, pakoras, sambousek, xian bing, spanikopita, tamales, pasties, and more. We’re issuing a broad invitation for communities to share their special comfort foods and celebrate together.
