Garden Preschool Mission:

Our child-centered curriculum combines teacher guided activities with ample time for free choice, socialization and play. We meet each child at his or her developmental level and strive to provide a stimulating, creative and discovery-oriented environment where learning is achieved through play. We emphasize the whole child and value each child's unique traits. On a daily basis your child will experience language arts, literature, early math concepts, creative art projects, dramatic play, as well as gross and fine motor activities.

We value and support the Outdoor Classroom.

Why renovate the playground?

We desire to meet the needs of our progressively younger set of children with new items more tailored to their size and ability levels while still meeting their developmental needs. This new structure aligns with our Outdoor Classroom philosophy, and connects children back to nature with our use of natural materials while still fostering their creative, gross motor, and fine motor development.

Here is what we are planning to do:

🔨 Remove the yellow house and the existing climbing structure.

🔨 Install new structure items including : climbing structure with rock wall, net rope climb, slide, and stepper, tipi play area, dramatic play stage, and tree bench.

🔨 Refresh wood sandbox, sand kitchen area with reinforcement/replacement of damaged wood, and painting.

🔨 Build and install storage shelves and sheds for sand toys, dramatic play items, and physical education items.

🔨 Replace canopy over the sand box.

🔨 Churn and add more playground sand.

🔨 Reinforce/replace/ sandbox edging.

🔨 Replace Outdoor Sand Kitchen.

Playground Builder: $500 – $999: All of the above + name on permanent tile donor plaque
