Celebrating 30 years of Collaborating for Change

For nearly three decades, the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children (MAAC) has stood alongside Georgia's youth and families, bringing together trusted partners to ensure youth impacted by foster care and public systems have access to the care, support, and resources they desperately need.

As we celebrate 30 years of collaborating for change, it also presents the perfect opportunity to reflect on all the lives that have been positively impacted- not just for a moment, but for a lifetime.

As MAAC and its partners never wavered in their dedication to young people, or their families, while ensuring their voices were not only heard, but amplified over the last three decades, countless lives have been forever changed, and often in ways that aren't always obvious.

So much of the impact that MAAC has pioneered can be found in the intangibles. The confidence that comes from walking into prom knowing you look amazing. The peace that overcomes the most anxious mind during a big test because you had access to a tutor who prepared you for anything the teacher may throw your way. Or the way you feel self-assured and supported enough to let your voice be heard in a room full of people who can easily make you feel like your voice isn't worth directing your own journey.

For almost thirty years, MAAC has pursued a mission to coordinate a capable and dedicated network of providers, people, and resources to serve young people and their families. But what else they have managed to do within that time may matter even more. Celebrating 30 years of the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children isn't just about the number of youth served or data outputs; it's about how many children found acceptance and stability, how many families found support and understanding, and how many young people found power in their voice and a path towards a future they envision.
