Steven Cong's Story
I believe in supporting those who support me, and Kearny Street Workshop has been one of my biggest champions this year. As an artist, any showcase that pays and celebrates its performers is one that believes and invests in our work. Being a showcase artist at Kearny Street Workshop's APAture Music Festival this year was a highlight in a journey with music that keeps on giving, and now is the time to give back. I don't know what 2025 will bring, and this November definitely made things less certain. One thing I will always hold true is the importance of the people, spaces, and communities that lift us up, and every cent you donate will protect this one from efforts to tear it down. I hope my community can collectively donate $500 to help Kearny Street Workshop reach its goal of $25,000 this Giving Tuesday, because AAPI art and culture embody the voice we give ourselves, and with institutions like KSW around, we'll never be voiceless.
