Ron Chanin's Story

I joined the board of the non-profit MDE School and Vocational Academy in June 2022. MDE School serves children with special needs who cannot succeed in a traditional classroom setting because they suffer from profound language-based learning disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. I'm thankful a place like MDE School exists for these children and their families. After long exhaustive searches for the right fit for their child, we are often an answer to prayer for many families. We provide a safe and supportive place for children with special needs. It's a happy place. A place where I see these kids thriving and living their best life every day. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on fundraising to provide the excellent special education program we do. Our fundraising covers things that tuition doesn't cover, like enrichment programs, as well as critical curriculum updates and assistive technology for the students. That's why I'm inviting you to contribute to my personal fundraiser for the school. Our day of giving is October 25. Our goal is $80,000.00. No amount is too small. Together we can make an investment in making the future brighter for these precious kids.
