Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide mobility impaired, youth, and terminally ill youth outdoor enthusiasts with hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and outdoor educational opportunities in a safe and inclusive manner throughout the state of Missouri.

Services We Provide

Through our partnerships with volunteer guides, state agencies, private landowners, and like minded organizations, Missouri Disabled Sportsmen has the ability to link youth and mobility impaired outdoor enthusiasts with opportunities to pursue deer, pheasant, turkey, waterfowl and fish, as well as participate in outdoor educational events throughout Missouri and around the country.

Missouri Disabled Sportsmen is a registered 501c3 non-profit, 100% volunteer group of sportsmen and outdoor advocates who have come together with a few simple goals in mind.

- The first of these goals is to make the outdoors more accessible to individuals who may not be able, due to physical mobility limitations either through direct or indirect assistance.
- The second goal is introducing and promoting the outdoors to the youth, especially those who may not have any other means to experience it. Recruiting the youth of today into the outdoors is imperative for not only our mission, but also the future of hunting, fishing, and wildlife conservation as a whole.
- The third goal is to provide hunting opportunities for terminally ill youth that qualify for an exemption under the Missouri Department of Conservation's code.

Missouri Disabled Sportsmen provides a wide range of outdoor opportunities including hunting deer, turkey, upland birds, waterfowl, predators, and small game as well as numerous fishing, and shooting events.

We partner with The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) on numerous events and are the largest user of their Track Chair Program. Over the past few years, through both a grant and our fundraising efforts, we have been able to purchase eight of our own track chairs, as well as enclosed trailers to transport them around the state. While we regularly use the MDC track chairs, having our own fleet allows us to provide even more opportunities for those we serve.

As we continue to grow our organization and the events we offer, we also need to grow our fundraising efforts to fund them. In 2022 we held our first Fish Fry and Live Music Fundraising event. It was a huge success. Both 2023 and 2024 were successful fundraisers with great results and attendance. This year, for our 4th Annual Fish Fry and Live Music Fundraiser, we are again planning to include the very popular and fun Jeep and UTV Poker Run. We will once again have a delicious meal, live music with very talented local musicians, a huge silent auction, live auction and many great raffles and prize-winning games. We hope to continue to build upon our past three years of “Making it Possible” success and continue to grow our organization!

We are also seeking monetary donations or donated items to be used as raffle or silent auction items. Contributions to Missouri Disabled Sportsmen are tax deductible. Our organization is 100% volunteer, so every penny donated goes to fund our mission!
