Hello supporters of AHC PNW! I do not ask this one lightly-

Over the past five years, I’ve poured my energy, time, and financial resources into advocacy, mutual aid, and survivor-centered community work. I am a big believer in putting my money where my heart is, and thus I've avoided taking income from this role. Together, we've changed policies at outdoor educators, given a voice to victims who were being ignored by the community, hosted survivor events, maintained search operations all over the state, and consulted for advocates in other states hoping to do the same. Over time though, I've incurred significant legal expenses that threaten to destabilize my work.

Many of you have asked over the years how to support me financially, and I believe this is a great opportunity to do so. Community financial support will allow me to handle legal obligations to my lawyers while maintaining stability and capacity in my home and professional life.

This campaign is about reimbursing me for costs associated with legal work as a community-based advocate. It will go directly to current bill payments. And it will allow me capacity to continue my work victims of violence and systemic oppression as well as able to continue contributing to the communities I care deeply about. It’s not about excess or lifestyle- many of you know I am very conscious about my low-cost, eco-friendly lifestyle. It’s about navigating the legal burden in a system that rarely makes things easy for people doing this kind of work.

I know many of us are stretched thin. Please know that any amount helps as I manage my foster kitten rescue, my bookkeeping business, and AHC and sharing this campaign is just as meaningful as donating.
