Story
We at Music For All Seasons are officially beginning our Fourth Decade with lots of exciting news about the healing impact of our music programs in Veterans Homes, Juvenile Detention Centers, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, and shelters for victims of domestic violence. As always, we are honored to have your partnership in our work! We hope you will help us continue -- and expand -- our programs in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and California.
The Asbury Park Press wrote a wonderful article about this event and Music For All Seasons. Click the pic (or here) to read all about it!
With generous help from government, corporate, foundation, and individual donors (that's you!), we have made great strides in serving new populations, while maintaining programs in the broad variety of facilities we have served for many years.
We see the amazing impact these programs have on lives every day we spend time with our audiences and songwriting participants.
We are thrilled to welcome Peter Hill, our new Senior Director as of Nov 1, who comes from a strong musical and administrative background. Board members Kirsten Thien and Nick Young have just been voted in as the new co-chairs of the Board of Trustees and we also settled in some of our newer board members: Rob Harari (Sept 2021), Brittany DiNatale (April 2022), and Laura Liza Blaine (April 2022). “Rena and I are very excited to see what this new generation of talented leaders will bring to the organization we created over thirty years ago,” said Brian Dallow, Co-founder and Executive Director. We thank Steve Rodner and Helen Paxton for their five years of service and leadership as co-chairs. They recently stepped down as co-chairs but will continue to serve as Trustees and mentors to our newest Co-Chairs.
We have recently established an exciting new partnership with Montclair State University’s Cali Collective Ensemble, mentoring MSU graduate students in MFAS programs. This program is a testament to the impact and longevity of MFAS's work, as the seeds of the collaboration developed from a former MFAS Musician, Anthony Mazzocchi, becoming the Director of the Cali School of Music at MSU. He expressed his gratitude that his MFAS work helped shape his life as a musician and educator, and his desire to give other budding professional musicians a similar opportunity and experience. And our collaboration was born!
