MISSION

MGM mission is to increase the lifespan of at-risk young men and boys by helping them develop their relationship with God, while helping them become better leaders, providers and protectors for not just themselves, but for their families and communities. To help them heal from past and backed-up trauma, pain, hurt and hardship.

VISION

Our vision is simple, to help all men young and old, have a relationship with God. T generate and maintain a system city and worldwide that gets and keep men not just present, but active in their communities, families and homes to prevent poverty, crime and violence.

OUR GOALS / STATISTICS

To help men respond and react out of wisdom and not emotion. While over 30% of men don't talk about their emotions and almost 3 out of 10 men have never shown their emotion or cried in front of others, there's no secret that our emotional unsustainability contributes to imbalances of our brains and how we handle our families, peers, friends, partners and situations. Overall, us men need help to heal from past and backed-up trauma, pain and hardship.
From the experience of dealing with men who face a variety of issues, men are 4x more likely to commit suicide than women, I come to conclude that men have a major difficulty of finding their life's purpose, the why, the reason to live, especially when life is taking its challenging impact. With acknowledgement that we're not born in this life knowing our purpose and assignment, but born to discover it, our goal is to help men discover their purpose in life, understanding the God given assignment and to find true fulfillment that brings joy, hopefulness and pure happiness which benefits the community, but also prevents poverty, crime and violence.
Labor force participation among men 25-45 has dropped by nearly 8% nationwide. Women are taking the lead in higher education, dominating bachelor’s and law degrees; 57% of bachelor’s degrees are awarded to women, The reasons why men may be skipping out on education are tangled in a web of cultural and socioeconomic factors. Our goal is to encourage and help young men to get back in school while offering opportunities and resources that will help guide them on obtaining their diploma and or degree. To help men gain the leadership skills needed to help lead in different areas of life.
There is an invisible and emotional pain that young men carry. They are searching, yearning, and wanting to be seen and heard, yet they often feel they can’t fully express themselves. Our goal is allow them to be seen, heard but most importantly, understood.
To help men development and maintain equanimity during moments of trauma and difficulty.
I'm a firm and strong believer that you're success is found in your daily routine. Establishing a healthy, effective and joyful morning and daily routine can reduce stress, lead to better mental health conditions, relaxation, reduce anxiety, increase mental sharpness, awareness, mindfulness and more. Our goal is to help young men develop that kind of routine to set them up for success.

ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

While MGM is new to the world, the idea thats been birthed by God isn't. Im a Certified Life Coach, Certified in Mental Health, Certified in Mindfulness Practice and Certified in Business Management and Leadership. Ive been in business for about three years doing life coaching, business consulting and light renovation. While running for alderman in Chicago in September 2022, God revealed to me that politics wasn't for me, but ministry is what's for me. Then once again, God showed and told me again that I was called to get into ministry full time for at-risk men. Back in July of 2023, God told me to dissolve my businesses and follow his vision, which what leads me to constructing this campaign and organization. I went on a street ministry campaign where I would go out with a microphone, speaker and my prophetic gift. I went out to minister, pray and worship with people from all walks of life for 23 days and I found myself being a vessel and blessing to majority of men, young and old who needed help on truly finding God and implementing the holy spirit in their daily lives. Saying that to say, i've discovered that my life isn't about me, but it's about serving others while not having a heart to serve, but having a heart to serve.

After losing two daughters, losing 112 friends to gun violence in Chicago, mopping up blood after 6 young people were murdered, to helping save the life of a 8-year-old boy I witness laying right in front of my feet from getting shot in the chest and the bullet going out his back, advocating for families and friends who experience the injustices of not just our government but our communities nationwide, holding grieving Mothers, Fathers, family members and family friends in my arms, crying on my chest from losing a loved to gun violence, from getting guns pulled out on me from helping the community by help solving cases of murder, missing persons and trafficking, its proven that im not called by God, but im chosen to do the work at 24-years-young to help save and change my generation

MANAGEMENT TEAM:

Board of Directors - This board is what keeps the ministry going. Vote on projects, budgets, spending and more.
Department of Community Safety and Supervision - As men, it’s not our job, but it’s our responsibility to protect women, children and our communities. From my experience of community policing in Chicago, even with the help of fellow men young and old, we’ve experienced a 100% success rate from violence prevention from being present and active in impoverished communities and on routes of public transportation like CTA train stations and buses.
Department of Community Events and Programs - This department keeps the ministry and the men active, but most importantly, this department keeps them on the path of successful growth, improvement and development as true men of God, even while making mistakes. Life isn’t about just what we go through, but us overcoming what we go through and learning from our experience to become better men.
Department of Community Outreach - As a former national activist and grassroots organizer, I absolutely understand the importance of community outreach. With my life coaching business, I would go out, knock on doors, pull up to gas stations, even liquor stores and help men through outreach. How can you be effective just by sitting on the phone and staying in the house!?!? The world needs help, and we must reach out to help. People often think that you have to have something major and big to help others when in reality, we all could use just someone to reach out to us and use their skill / gift to help us overcome and solve what we’re going through.

MGM Youth Committee - MGM is surrounded by the core value of empowering youth. This committee will allow youth to advocate for what they need with the connections MGM establishes with other businesses, community and faith based organizations. Giving youth not just the voice but the power and platform they need to express how they feel, how to help their peers and what resources and or opportunities they need to hep them overcome adversity, challenges, pain and trauma.
Department of Community Response - This department is designed to respond to the crime scenes and investigations of where theirs a shooting or just trauma. Offering free services on the spot when tragedy take place in our community to help those effected stay on a path that prevents violence and crime.

THE PLAN OF ACTION:

Men of God Monday's While most churches and ministries execute their services on Sundays, MGM will have services on Monday evenings. There's no secret that churches has lost its foundation of keeping members in their community as a church, but also withholds a great lack and resistance of authentic community outreach to bring in members of the community, that's why MGM will have more ministry services out in the street, and not just in the four walls.

Cars for Care Program: Between 2021 and 2022, Chicago experienced over 1,800 carjackings and from the beginning of 2023 to YTD as of September 19, 2023, there's been over 860 carjacking reported. With this program, MGM will partner with dealerships and community residents with policies and procedures in place to use high-powered vehicles for youth to test drive in designated safe parking lots following workshops and one-on-one’s to offer free educational information on how to work hard to obtain a high-powered vehicle such as TrackHawks, Hellcats, Demons and more. Overall, getting a vehicle the legal and righteous way while assisting young men on obtaining their driver license, the importance of safe driving, avoiding and preventing parking, speeding and red light camera tickets that we often experience in impoverished communities. This will deter youth from senseless carjacking and theft, significantly reduce these troubling statistics, construct and maintain a strong work ethic for young, developing men.

Bear Arms with Armor Program: In this program, MGM will team up with firearm instructors, on the force and retired police officers to create, host and maintain masterclasses and workshops on the ins and outs, rights and wrong, legal and illegal ways of the ownership and usage of firearms. With YTD of September 19, 2023, 1,842 people were shot and wounded with 2265 people total shot and 423 shot and killed. This will deter youth from not just obtaining firearms illegally, to teach their peers what the've been taught from our program, build godly wisdom on not shooting someone just because they're into it, but to use the skills to protect their homes, family and community. To de-escalate high tensioned situations, make peace with others and to put the gun down from senseless violence. This program will assist in obtaining FOID and CCL.

Majestically Medical Program: Let's be honest, its more commonly and statistically proven that us men use more drugs and alcohol. In reality, it's temporary. The abuse of drugs contribute to sex, money, cars, lack of standards, core values, disrespecting women and not holding them up to the standard of respect, love, protection, grace and understanding that they deserve, it's temporary. With this program, MGM will partner with different clinics, hospitals, first responders and health care professionals to construct and maintain masterclasses and workshops on not just how to do CPR, but to treat stab, gunshot wounds, how eat healthier, work right and promote a healthy and clean lifestyle which will lead to how they respond to situations. We are what we consume. Our goal is to deter men from temporary satisfaction to everlasting progress. As men, emotion gets us in trouble but wisdom always win.

Membership / Mobile App: Our online membership is one of the major attributes to how we keep our the organization going. Why? because this is where community is built and maintain. MGM is dedicated to created a online app that includes blogs, forums, online shops, current and upcoming events, links to the website of our sponsors and more resourceful content that not only helps the organization, but that helps the community of our members. By January 17, 2025, we're committed to recruiting over 10,000 residents in chicago to become members of MGM.
