2026 Motherhood Healing Festival!

OUR STORY

In April 2025, the Motherhood Healing Festival made history in Georgia. During Black Maternal Health Week, we gathered 70+ pregnant women and mothers and 30+ birthworkers, doulas, and healers for a powerful day of healing, workshops, storytelling, and community care.

The Motherhood Healing Festival is a community initiative and full-day healing experience that celebrates motherhood while reclaiming maternal wellness practices and traditions. We gather to center the joy, healing, health, and sovereignty of pregnant women and mothers. This festival is both a celebration of Black Maternal Health Week in Georgia and an act of resistance and self preservation.

The festival brings together doulas, midwives, practitioners, educators, organizations, and families for a full day of:

Maternal health workshops and panels
Healing circles and cultural ceremony
Live performances and storytelling
Family-centered activities
Wellness and resource activations
Every element is designed with care, ensuring families leave more resourced, and feeling seen, supported, and strengthened.

With your support we aim to be fully funded by February 23rd, 2026.

OUR PRIORITIES

The Motherhood Healing Festival is a ticketed event, but our mission is to ensure pregnant and newly postpartum mothers from marginalized and rural communities are not left out. Many pregnant and newly postpartum mothers in rural and marginalized communities face a lack of food access, maternal health resources, support, and safe spaces to connect and heal. Your donation helps us sponsor 75 mothers and families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend through our MHF Access & Care Fund, while also covering the essentials like sound, tents, materials, and supplies that make this healing festival possible.

WHAT THE FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR

Venue & Event Logistics

A full-day venue rental at Sanoah Springs in Williamson, Ga: $1,500.
Event insurance: $300.
Delivery, setup, and pickup of 10 vendor tents, tables, and chairs: $1,000.
Creative art director and team to design and setup festival venue and breakdown: $2,500.
Chef prepared meals for 100-150 festival attendees: $2,500.
Herbal mocktail bar & (3) infused water stations: $350.
3 Day Sprinter Van Rental with a Certified Driver: $1,500
- For festival line up transportation to and from the airport and event

Conference Room Rental for pre-festival mixer: $500.
- Pre-festival Mixer setup, appetizers, refreshments, workshop facilitator, and breakdown: $1,000

Marketing, Media, & Sound

Professional sound system (2,000-watt speakers, 6 wireless mics, mic stands, backup power, extension cords, and cables): $1,000.
Sound technician (day-of): $300.
DJ/emcee: $500.
Photographer + videographer: $1,000.
Festival signage & directional boards, flyers, banners: $500.
Social media ads & promo: $250.
Free Festival Merch to first 50 attendees - 50 tshirts + 50 swag bags: $1,500.

Mother Access & Care Fund – $7,000

Up to 75 sponsored festival passes for new mothers living in rural Georgia - in collaboration with I See My Baby Organization that provides programming, doula support, and transitional housing for pregnant women and newly postpartum mothers in Bainbridge, Georgia about 3 hours south of Atlanta.
Prenatal & postpartum care packages for 75 families.
Transportation stipends for rural attendees.
Complimentary produce boxes fulfilled by local farmers and growers across Metro Atlanta to Spalding County, Georgia.
