As overall survival rates for childhood cancer continue to improve, nearing 90%, more children than ever are becoming long-term survivors. However, the treatments that save their lives put them at risk later on. By age 45, 95% of childhood cancer survivors will have a serious chronic illness. The long-term health challenges survivors face put them at enormous risk for diminished quality of life and early mortality. At MaxLove Project, we believe these statistics are not fate.

MaxLove Project is the only childhood cancer nonprofit exclusively devoted to helping provide families with the resources, knowledge, and skills they need to adopt evidence-based health behaviors that dramatically lower the risks of survivorship-related disease and greatly improve quality of life. Our mission, simply, is to ensure that every child diagnosed with cancer has the opportunity to thrive against the odds.

Your gift allows us to fulfill this mission through hospital-based cooking classes, online nutrition education, small-group family support programs, family mental wellness care, expert-facilitated online support groups, and many other rigorously evaluated, high-impact, family-centered programs.
