The Morris, Manning and Martin Fund was created to celebrate the vision and contributions of our founding partners—John G. “Sonny” Morris, Joe Manning, and A.B. Martin, and all attorneys and staff who have helped shape the firm over the last nearly 50 years, continuing their legacy of community impact. Through this fund, we are proud to support the redevelopment of Westside Future Fund’s first commercial real estate project, the historic Yellow Store.

The Yellow Store has been a cornerstone of the English Avenue neighborhood since 1911. Once a vibrant hub for food, music, and fellowship, it stands as a symbol of Black entrepreneurship and community pride. Our goal is to raise $150,000 over the next 12 months to build on the firm's initial investment to help transform this landmark into a mixed-use space that will:

Expand access to healthy, affordable food.
Create opportunities for a new generation of Black entrepreneurs.
Serve as a community gathering space that anchors neighborhood renewal.

This project is more than construction; it’s about preserving history, fostering equity, and building a stronger future for Atlanta’s Westside. With your support, the Yellow Store will reopen in 2026, continuing its legacy as a beacon of hope and progress. The firm’s name and recognition will be displayed in the community gathering space, a location chosen to honor our nearly 50-year legacy of supporting the community.

About Westside Future Fund

A nonprofit formed by Atlanta’s public, private and philanthropic partners, we believe in the future of Atlanta’s Westside and are committed to helping Historic Westside neighborhoods revitalize and develop into a community Dr. King would be proud to call home.

Westside Future Fund (WFF) serves five Historic Westside neighborhoods – Vine City, English Avenue, Ashview Heights, Atlanta University Center and Just Us. WFF raises charitable funds to support our signature program, Home on the Westside, which enables us to develop high-quality, permanently affordable multi-family housing, new or renovated single-family homes, and provide property tax relief for legacy residents.
