Muffin arrived in MN in January of 2026 excited to start her new life, but she also arrived heartworm positive and with an obviously deformed front leg. Four months later she has finally completed her heartworm treatment and has been cleared for a double ulnar osteotomy. Without this surgery Muffin will suffer pain and loss of mobility, likely shortening her life. This surgery, will will cost around $4,000, will shorten the ulna bone in the forearm to relieve the abnormal pressure on her elbow and wrist joints.
