The Abilities First mission is simple, we seek to turn abilites into opportunities. That means advocating for true inclusion in our region. While inclusion may sound like a simple goal, for those with the lived experience of a disability it is anything but simple. The good news is that Springfield and our surrounding communities are uniquely set up to be, not only a local, but a national leader in what true inclusion looks like for everyone!

Every dollar you donate goes directly towards helping someone in your community live the life that they choose. When we look past someone's disability, we can find so much more than just a neighbor or a friendly face. We can find an incredible coworker, a passionate friend, or a great leader. Friends of Abilities First is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) that assists with the needs and expenses of people with developmental disabilities in Greene County, Missouri supported by Abilities First. Friends of Abilities First also provides opportunities for inclusion where people live, learn, work, and play.
