As we near the end of the year, we’re embarking on an important mission: to build a model for sustainable, long-term housing dedicated to supporting individuals and families in recovery. Our goal is to raise $40,000 by the end of the year to bring this vision to life—and we can’t do it without you.

When individuals and families are recovering from substance use, trauma, or personal hardship, safe and stable housing is more than just shelter—it’s a foundation for lasting change. Our project will create a supportive, environmentally friendly community designed to help residents rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. Because our mission at MRCI ("mercy") is to promote the wholistic recovery of Black and Browns folks through harm reduction, peer support, and stress relief.

This model will provide:
- Affordable, stable housing for individuals and families in recovery
- Essential support services to help residents achieve long-term stability
- Sustainable building practices to ensure the health and well-being of both residents and the environment

Every dollar raised will go directly toward materials, planning, and essential resources to make this vision a reality. With your support, we can:
- Break ground on eco-friendly, accessible housing units
- Partner with local organizations to integrate job training, counseling, and life skills programs
- Provide a safe and stable environment where individuals and families can rebuild

OUR IMPACT

Being a member of MRCI is transformative - some of our fellows (those we serve) and members have never known what it is to be free to just be, to simply live. Our peer education offerings, weekly group wellness checks, 1:1 peer support sessions, and sober socials help make that possible by connecting them to life changing experiences and information.

Our programs and services combine accountability, fellowship, and mentorship to help those we serve to grow into productive members of the community. Fellows and members alike are able to see a greater world, their personal potential, and the direct impact of collaboration and dedication. These are skills we all will carry with us on our journeys of healing and recovery, which will enable us to build a better future and live the life we dare to dream.
