Our program is grounded in the authentic Montessori method—child-led, hands-on, and intentionally crafted to nurture curiosity, independence, and deep concentration. We strive to support the whole child, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, building the foundations for critical thinking and lifelong learning.

We intentionally designed Mahogany Splendor Montessori School to create a transformative experience for traditionally marginalized students, including low-income students, and English language learners.

A new, high-quality neighborhood school led by educators with over 20 years of combined experience as classroom guides and school administrators. Our mission is to nurture children and strengthen our community as a culturally affirming, child-centered, family-focused, community school.

Arts and Spanish Language Enrichment

Art and language are not extras—they are gateways. Through painting, movement, music, and storytelling, children learn to express their inner world, make sense of the outer one, and connect with others across cultures. Exposure to the Spanish language and diverse artistic forms opens doors, broadens horizons, and helps every child build empathy and awareness—skills essential for our shared future.

Child-centered Learning Environment

Mahogany Splendor Montessori will offer a beautiful, child-centered learning environment that supports children, families, and teachers alike. We are launching in a Howard County neighborhood where only 9% of Black families and 4% of Latino families can afford childcare costs. Collaborating with our local community, we designed Mahogany Splendor to be an inclusive environment, serving families in culturally affirming, intentionally diverse classrooms. At full capacity, we will serve 30 students ages 2.10-5 years in a mixed-age setting.
