More Than An Athlete Emotional Intelligence (MTAAEI) is a San Diego nonprofit that teaches the skills that don't show up on a stat sheet or a résumé. How to manage stress, read a room, recover from a setback, work with a team, and make decisions you're proud of. We believe character and self-awareness can be coached the same way a jump shot or a sprint time can, and we build programs that do exactly that.

We work with young people, student-athletes, and growing adults. Meeting people at that moment where competition, pressure, and identity all collide, and people are still figuring out who they want to become. Sports give us a natural way in. The lessons land faster when they connect to something someone already cares about, but the skills reach far past the field. They show up in the classroom, at home, and years later in a first job or a hard conversation.

Every donation keeps this work going. Paying for curriculum, trained facilitators, and the materials that put these lessons in someone's hands. Whatever you can give, it goes straight to the people in the room.
