Desanclados is a non-profit sailing organization in Argentina that uses sailing as a powerful tool for education, inclusion, and personal growth. Through our sailing programs and nautical activities, children, adolescents, and adults develop teamwork, resilience, environmental awareness, and the joy of healthy competition.

Our story began in 2021, when Federico López and Tomás Guaragna launched CRA Escuela de Vela at Club Remeros Alberdi. With just a few old boats and limited resources, they dreamed of creating an independent, sustainable space where everyone could access the river and the sport of sailing. Thanks to the passion of families and the local community, the project quickly grew. Today, dozens of sailors train with us year-round, learning not only techniques but also values of camaraderie, perseverance, and respect for nature.

In 2025, this journey took a new step forward: we became the Desanclados Foundation. This transformation ensures that what started as a small initiative is now a lasting community legacy—one committed to guaranteeing that sailing and access to the river remain open to all, now and always, on a non-profit basis.

But we cannot do it alone. Right now, our school is sustained only by student tuition, which limits our reach and excludes many who cannot afford it. Our dream is to change that reality. Every contribution—whether monetary, boats, equipment, or clothing—turns directly into opportunities for learning, inclusion, and development.

👉 Our fundraising goal is $10,000 USD, and here is how it will be invested:

$6,000 → A used (new for us) coach boat.
$2,000 → Replacing the tubes of our old coach boat.
$2,000 → Infrastructure: boat storage, dollies, parts, and boat repairs.

Desanclados is part of the Make Them Sailors network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit in the U.S. Through this partnership, U.S.-based donations are tax-deductible.
