Founded in 2013, the Exuma Sailing Club (ESC) has become a cornerstone for youth development, community pride, and the preservation of Bahamian sailing culture.

Our mission is simple yet powerful:
To train the young people of Exuma in the discipline of sailing, and to develop teamwork, integrity, and sportsmanship through consistent practice and participation in regattas throughout The Bahamas.

More than just a sailing club, ESC offers a safe, motivating space where boys and girls learn not only to sail — but to work hard, care for equipment, compete fairly, and treat others with respect.

Through outside funding, all our programs are free, making sailing accessible to every young person in Exuma, regardless of background.

We proudly teach:

🧒 Beginner sailing in the Optimist dinghy for kids discovering the sport
🏁 Competitive racing for ages 8–15 (Optimist) and 15–18 (Sunfish)
⛵ Traditional Bahamian sloop sailing, connecting youth to cultural heritage
💪 Teamwork, discipline, and perseverance through national regattas

Your donation will help us:

Maintain and expand our fleet of Optimists, Sunfish, and sloops
Cover travel and registration costs for national regattas
Train and support our local instructors and volunteers
Keep sailing free for every child in Exuma
