<p>The Midwest Snow Kite Jam will take place in Cadillac, MI February 6th - 8th, 2026. The Snow Kite Jam is a month-long endurance race and fundraiser that combines both fundraising and kiting elements, where riders compete in both aspects. </p><p><span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>Schedule for February 6th-8th:</strong></span></p><p><strong>Friday February 6th: Rider Welcome Party 5-9 pm at Up North Arts (601 Chestnut St, Cadillac, MI 49601 ):</strong></p><p>Hangout and get checked in for the event! This is a must. You need to be checked in prior to 11am on Saturday. Bring new or used gear to sell or swap and get ready for Saturday! Bringing it early might give interested parties a chance to use the gear on Saturday! If you want to volunteer, please show up on Friday to get an assigned task. We still need people to run the kite race, setup, tear down. It will be run by volunteers only. Friday will be the strategy session. </p><p><strong>Saturday February 7th, 11 am-5 pm, Lake Mitchell or Caberfae: Freeride, (2) 8' rails and a high jump run by the guys at Broko Bindings and a race depending on volunteers.</strong></p><p>Snowkiting on Lake Mitchell, weather permitting. Parking will be at Lake Mitchell Boat Launch in the Mitchell State Park. The parking lot will be plowed for us. If not, we'll plan on hitting the slopes with friends at Caberfae Peaks. A single lift ticket is included in the registration fee- so we won't get skunked! We have a team managing the high jump, rail and hopefully a race!</p><p><strong>Saturday February 7th 5-10 pm at Up North Arts (601 Chestnut St, Cadillac, MI 49601): Rider After Party</strong></p><p>Closing Party + drawing + Gear Swap for registered riders. Drawing at 7pm. Followed by the announcement for the most miles logged for the month of January. </p><p><strong>Sunday February 8th 11 am at Lake Mitchell, Lake Cadillac, or Caberfae: </strong></p><p>Unofficial post-event snowkiting on Lake Mitchell or Cadillac, weather permitting. Caberfae Peaks as the contingency plan.</p><p><strong>For the entire month of January and up until the awards ceremony on February 7th, participants will have the opportunity to log as many miles on the snow or water as possible and fundraise for Project Koru! You can log your miles from wherever you want, but must be present at the awards ceremony on 2/7/26 at 7pm. We highly recommend following the wind for the best ride.
