Third World Newsreel has been advancing movement storytelling for cultural and social justice for almost six decades, championing the self-representation of historically marginalized communities. But – we desperately need your support to keep TWN going!

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has terminated our grant to run the TWN Production Workshop and Evening Seminars – one of the most exciting parts of our work to support emerging and established filmmakers’ development.

The NEA had been a steady supporter of our training programs for over 20 years – until this last summer. Last year we received $30K from them. This year we will not receive anything from them.

If TWN’s Production Workshop or Evening Seminars helped nurture the seeds of your filmmaking career in any way – now is the time to share your harvest. We know this might be more than you usually give but these are extraordinary times and more is what is needed in this moment!!!
