Denny McCarthy is an American professional golfer known for his exceptional putting skills and consistent performances on the PGA Tour. McCarthy began playing competitive golf at the age of 10 and showcased his talent early on the junior circuit. McCarthy continued his golf career at the University of Virginia, earning All-American honors and competing in four NCAA Championships.

As an amateur, McCarthy was part of the 2010 U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team alongside future PGA Tour stars Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas. He also led the U.S. team to victory at the 2014 Eisenhower Trophy and won the prestigious Porter Cup in 2015.

Turning professional in 2015, McCarthy has established himself as one of the Tour's premier putters, achieving a career-high Official World Golf Ranking of 29 in May 2024. Notable performances include a tie for 7th at the 2022 U.S. Open and a runner-up finish at the 2024 Valero Texas Open.
