Mallory Cemetery, located on Nichol Mill Lane in Franklin, Tennessee, is a burial ground that dates back to the 1830s.

The parcel of land that includes the cemetery, where his parents were buried, was dedicated in John Mallory's Will as a burial ground for himself, his wife and their descendants. (Will book 1860, page 257)

The cemetery holds the final resting places of Revolutionary War Patriot, Roger Mallory, his wife and family members including Sarah “Sally” Crockett Mallory, Daughter of Lt. Andrew Crockett, Sr, an early settler of Brentwood, Tennessee. Their contributions to our community are immeasurable. Unfortunately, time and weather have taken a toll on the cemetery and we are now seeking your help to preserve the legacy of those who came before us.

Preserve Mallory Cemetery is a nonprofit organization that needs your support to fund the beautification and restoration projects to remove and grind the stump of the tree that has suffered a catastrophic loss, repair the broken headstones of John Mallory and his wife Sarah "Sally" Crockett Mallory and install a memory garden with native pollinator plants.

Why it's important

The cemetery is not only the final resting place of Revolutionary War patriot Roger Mallory and his son John Mallory, who moved to Franklin in 1812, but it's also a landmark that reflects our community's history. John purchased 105 acres that surround the cemetery in what is now considered the Cool Springs area. Mallory Lane, Mallory Station Road and Mallory Valley Utility District are named for John.
