You Can Send Frishta to University!

Hi, my name is Frishta, and I am from Afghanistan. I have always been passionate about politics, leadership, and pursuing real solutions to improve people’s lives. My goal is to build schools, create opportunities, and, one day, use my education to serve my community and my country.

When secondary and postsecondary girls’ education was banned in 2022 by the new Afghan government, my path was suddenly blocked. However, with a lot of work I earned a full scholarship to a U.S. online high school, and did all of my coursework in secret from my village in Afghanistan, graduating in June of 2024.

It is essential that I leave Afghanistan, and I am excited that I have been accepted to an affordable college, the American University of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan (AUCA) with a 40% tuition scholarship. My goal is to enroll in January, 2027. But first I need to secure my tuition funding by September. I will pay my own living costs in Kyrgyzstan through my online teaching job, and I have already saved approximately USD $1,400 in donations for my visa application, travel costs, and other relocation expenses.

The main financial challenge now is the remainder of my tuition which will equal USD $5,000. This is an attainable amount, and even your small recurring contribution can make this goal possible. If 10 generous people were able to contribute USD $50 per month, it would cover my tuition costs and give me the opportunity to change my life forever.
