It's been one year since we said goodbye to Maritza Mulligan, a remarkable mother whose love and advocacy for her sons, Connor and Sean, graduates of the QSAC Day School in Whitestone.

As we mark this solemn anniversary, we reflect on Maritza's unwavering dedication to her children and the autism community. Her strength, compassion, and tireless commitment continue to inspire us daily.

In honor of the one-year anniversary of Maritza's passing, the Mulligan family has once again chosen to direct memorial gifts to the QSAC Day School. These contributions will further strengthen a cause that was profoundly important to Maritza: creating better opportunities and brighter futures for individuals with autism.

The support received over the past year has already made a meaningful difference in the lives of students and families at QSAC. Each donation stands as a testament to Maritza's enduring legacy of love and advocacy.

ABOUT QSAC

QSAC is a New York City and Long Island-based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services.

QSAC was founded in 1978 by a group of parents confronted with limited-service options for their children with autism. Today, QSAC provides direct services to more than 2,700 children and adults throughout the region.

QSAC pursues its mission through direct services that provide a supportive and individualized setting for children and adults with autism to improve their communication, socialization, academic, and functional skills using applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Programs for children include early intervention, preschool, school, after school, and in-home educational and support services. QSAC’s adult programs include supportive living, skill development programs, vocational training, job placement, and in-home services. QSAC’s programs provide supportive and trained staff, high-impact services, and a commitment to quality.
