Women make up half of Hawai‘i’s population, weaving the fabric of our islands through their strength, wisdom, and nurturing spirit. Yet, being a woman in Hawai‘i comes with unique challenges, including economic disparities, family responsibilities, and cultural preservation. Despite these challenges, wāhine persist—creating, leading, and nurturing spaces of love and care for those around them.

At What Makes You Feel Beautiful, we see this balance firsthand. We support women and girls through mentorship, mental health programs, and community-driven initiatives that honor resilience, adaptability, and aloha. Our MAUI GEMS program, community outreach, and wellness workshops ensure that wāhine of all ages have the tools to thrive and lead.

Wāhine Kaulike is a free event open to the Maui community, celebrating the incredible balance, strength, and resilience of women. We welcome you to gather with us for an evening of inspiration, storytelling, and connection as we honor extraordinary wāhine who uplift and shape our island.

📜 Mayor Richard Bissen will also be presenting Special Recognition Certificates to our honorees, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the community.

While attendance is free, we invite you to consider an optional suggested donation/ticket to help support programs that uplift and empower women and girls in our community. Your generosity ensures that initiatives like mentorship, mental health support, and leadership development continue to thrive.
