Give to Grow Local Opportunity
Celebrate 10 Years of Economic Excellence. Invest in What Comes Next.

In 2017, the Melanin Market began creating space for local entrepreneurs to be seen, supported, and celebrated. As we approach our 10-year anniversary, that work continues through Melanin Collaborative Group Inc. (MCG)—connecting small and micro businesses, young people, and neighbors with opportunities to grow.

For a small business owner, a market can be more than a place to sell. It can be a chance to meet a new customer, test a product, build confidence, and take the next step toward a stronger business. With practical education, relationships, and ongoing support, that opportunity can extend well beyond one event.

That is the work your donation helps make possible.

MCG brings together economic development, business education, youth entrepreneurship, workforce development, health literacy, and arts and culture. Through our Melanin Markets, business workshops, Buy Black Business Bus Blitz, Next Gen Creators, and Health is Wealth programming, we help connect visibility with the tools and resources people need to move forward.

Rooted in Jacksonville’s Historic Eastside, we believe community growth starts with the people already here—the entrepreneur building a business, the young person discovering their abilities, and the family seeking resources and connection.

Your gift helps us:

Create opportunities for small and micro businesses to reach customers.
Provide practical business education and connections to resources.
Help young people explore entrepreneurship and develop workplace skills.
Bring health education and community resources into welcoming spaces.
Celebrate cultural heritage while strengthening relationships across our community.

As we enter our next decade, we want to deepen this work and measure the difference it makes: what entrepreneurs learn, how they apply it, the skills young people gain, and the connections that help communities thrive.

Help us turn community participation into lasting opportunity. Give today and help grow the next 10 years of economic excellence.
