It’s no secret that printed newspapers are struggling financially and have been for a few years. Many newspapers have disappeared from the media landscape.

That’s why the Miami County Republic and our sister newspapers are taking the extraordinary step in asking you to help us pay for the cost of gathering the news. We’re asking those who see the value in journalism to make a tax-deductible donation to the Miami County Republic. We’ve provided a link to our donation page.

Your donation, whether big or small, will keep our reporters asking questions, taking pictures and recording sound bites. It will keep our reporters in the city council and school board meetings, on the sidelines of the football game and tackling the issues that matter to you.

Miami County Republic - COVID-19 Local News Fund is a program administered by Local Media Foundation, tax ID #36‐4427750, a Section 501(c)(3) charitable trust affiliated with Local Media Association. LMF is raising funds for educational activities; specifically, to educate the public on COVID-19 issues. LMF is providing funds to this news organization and many others to support this important educational project. All money raised by this effort will go directly to support COVID-19 reporting, to make sure the public has essential facts on this important topic.
