We are a public art project that inspires artists to create work in their communities–sparking hope, connection, and conversations about mental health.

To fulfill our mission, we rely on individual donations, grants, and corporate sponsorship. Between Giving Tuesday and year’s end, we aim to raise $20,000 that will go toward 2024 project funding.

2024 Goals

✨100 Murals
Reach 100 murals worldwide in 2024, target untapped cities, and engage local artists. This milestone is a testament to our dedication to spreading art and compassion on a global scale.

💫Seaport Mural Festival, NYC
Curate and produce our third annual mural festival, an uplifting event that includes 10+ artists painting in multiple languages to reflect the diverse population of NYC and speak to them directly.

🌟More Personal Stories
Create new video content and interviews of the artists sharing what the You Are Not Alone Murals message means to them. Showcasing this vulnerability will allow viewers to connect with the message more deeply and foster a compassionate, online community.

✨Greater Presence in Schools
There is a mental health crisis on US high school and college campuses. Students are reporting dramatically higher rates of depression, anxiety, and thoughts of self harm. You Are Not Alone Murals is dedicated to engaging with this vulnerable community and creating murals in their schools as a daily reminder of hope.

💫 Murals at Camp Buehring, Kuwait
Active-duty US soldiers will join You Are Not Alone Murals artists Jay Rivera (SSG,USA, Ret.) and Riki Rivera, of Laced and Found to create two murals on base. These murals will spark much needed conversations about mental health, reinforcing that mental health is part of overall health and that seeking help is a sign of strength. Folktale Creative will film the experience.
