May, best known for Mother's Day, also holds World Maternal Mental Health Awareness day on May 7th. and Maternal Mental health awareness Month. What we REALLY want is to provide maternal mental health support ALL YEAR. Our Empowering Moms Program aims to do that by providing weekly support groups for new moms and their babies to help them create community, find solidarity and increase confidence.

Moms need support and celebration on more than one day. They do need to know they are stronger together and supported year round. Help us make that a reality for area moms. Since 2019, Empowering Moms Program has had over 2,250 women and their babies attend groups and workshops and we look forward to doubling that number in coming years. But we can only do that with community support. We are also working to expand our supports to all stages of motherhood and unique challenges and needs.

You can help us reach more and expand our work with your donation.

Join us in 2025 to raise funds to ensure these services remain accessible and continue to grow and support more moms and families. Consider reaching out to local resources for increased involvement or leading a fundraising drive in collaboration. Together we can help impact the mental health of many moms and their babies, reduce isolation and increase community support.

- Make it FOR Mom Night: Wednesday April 30th 5-7pm
- **THANK YOU to the over 20 families that helped raised over $800 through this night and also connected and supported moms!**
  - Make a handmade craft and gift basket for mom: to include sweet treats, craft, gift card, raffle tickets and more
  - Solo Moms can come relax and connect while volunteers help their kids make a gift.
  - Dads and Caregivers bring kids to work with them to make a thoughtful gift.
  - Sponsor a gift station, donate coupons or gift certificates or volunteer to help at the event
  - Sponsor tickets for those in need of scholarships or for refreshments for our Super Mom Break room.

  - Thursday, 5/29/2025 6 - 8 pm Tickets are $20-$25 with a free ticket for monthly donors over $25.
  - Moms in all different stages come connect and find solidarity and support through structured group activities and conversations that will reduce awkward interactions and increase community connections.

We provide community-based support for those in the postpartum stage of parenting and beyond. Participants find a space that is non-judgmental to share similar experiences, talk about challenges in transitions and find solidarity in the early years of bringing home a baby and moving through family dynamic changes. Connected Nest's Facing Fertility program widens support to those facing infertility challenges prior to and during parenthood.

"As a mom of two undergoing fertility treatment, it’s been a particularly lonely road. My living kids keep me very busy and I have a full time job. There’s no time to travel anywhere for therapy or support groups. The Empowering moms online support group was so helpful for me when I was undergoing treatment. Connecting with other moms experiencing secondary infertility with a kind, empathetic (and clearly well-trained) group leader was beyond helpful."
