The Hope Fund Expansion Program

The Hope Fund of Carroll County Memorial Hospital Foundation was established in 2019 to help patients in need by providing funds for medication, durable medical equipment, and transportation assistance. Since starting, The Hope Fund has helped over 40 individuals and, in the last year, referrals have more than tripled. Even with all of the good accomplished through the fund, we have found gaps.

In an effort to provide “More Hope,” the Foundation would like to expand the fund to help create healthy environments for patients through assistance with minor home repairs, home improvements and emergency basic necessities. Picture grab bars, ramps, wider door openings, raised toilet, etc.

During this year's CCMH Foundation, generous donors pledged an initial $20,000. If you were unable to attend and would like to help, any amount is appreciated.

As with the initial funds raised in 2019, parameters will be established to ensure their responsible use including an initial pilot program, annual assistance limits and partnerships with local businesses.
