Help Rebuild the Morning Star Playground 💛

This year, Morning Star is coming together to rebuild our playground — a place where kids climb, imagine, move, and connect every day.

This summer, the district will remove a piece of aging playground equipment due to safety concerns. That gives us a short window to replace it before the next school year begins. If we act now, our kids will return in the fall to a full, vibrant playground, not an empty space.

To make that happen, we’re launching a Playground Capital Campaign, beginning with Phase 1, the most time-sensitive part of the project. Over time, this campaign will fund a fully updated playground built in three phases.

This effort is deeply community-driven. In last year’s parent survey, families overwhelmingly shared that upgrading the playground was a top priority. Because this is a one-time capital project, it requires fundraising beyond our annual PAC efforts, which support important programs like field trips, classroom enrichment, art classes, community events, and the school musical.

Morning Star’s playground is also a community playground, open after school and throughout the summer. By giving, you’re supporting not just our students, but kids and families across the surrounding neighborhoods.
