The NFL Alumni Philadelphia Chapter is proud to champion Deborah Heart and Lung Center and its Children of the World Program through our annual Super Bowl of Golf qualifier event. Rooted in the NFL Alumni mission of “Caring For Kids,” this partnership is a powerful commitment to uplifting the most vulnerable members of our national and local communities.

At the Forefront of Pediatric Health
For decades, Deborah’s Children of the World program has provided life-saving cardiovascular care to children from more than 80 countries. Today, children from around the region come to Deborah for evaluation and treatment. These families face the most complex medical challenges, often with no access to specialized care. True to Deborah’s founding principle—“There is no price on Life”—this care is provided without ever issuing a bill to a patient, ensuring that financial hardship never stands in the way of a child's survival.

The generosity of our supporters serves as a vital philanthropic investment in the health of our region. This funding ensures that Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey families have access to the highest quality care—from advanced diagnostic screenings to specialized preventive and fetal cardiology services. By staying at the leading edge of medical technology, Deborah remains a beacon of hope for pediatric heart health.

Deborah Saved My Son's Heart: Seamus' Story

Seamus is a typical active teenager: he swims, he rides BMX, he plays soccer, and more. But when he began fainting for no reason, his parents took him to one of the top pediatric cardiology programs in the region at Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

A slight irregularity on his EKG ultimately led to a diagnosis of Long QT Syndrome Type 5—a cardiac condition that affects fewer than 300 children worldwide! Had this remained undetected, it could have led to sudden cardiac death. Today, Seamus lives with a LINQ Monitor in his chest that collects heart rhythm data and sends it to his doctors to make sure he is always well-protected as he lives an otherwise normal life.

Founded in 1967, the National Football League Alumni Association is the most well-known and well-respected retired player organization.

The NFL Alumni Association, Philadelphia Chapter, is a non-profit organization comprised of retired players, cheerleaders, coaches, and associate members. The organization has a strong tradition of “Caring for Kids” across our region. It is a tradition that has existed for more than 50 years.

Memberships are open to former NFL players and cheerleaders, as well as those in the community aspiring to become associate members.
