Not only do students benefit from being athletes in High School it also provides important take aways for life after graduation. Benefits for student athletes in High School are increased GPA's, and time management skills, supports life of health and wellness, teaches teamwork, collaboration and compromise, promotes leadership skills, develops positive character attributes and community spirit, improved self-esteem and strengthens relationships with peers and adults. After graduation, there are many benefits with 3 highlighted: provides a stronger sense of self-confidence in building relationships with others and having an expanded capacity for empathy, develops better understanding how their actions affect others and themselves, and a foundation for lifelong fitness habits.

Drawing will occur on December 30, 2024, before the Girls Championship game at the Holiday NIHS Basketball Tournament at North Iredell High School Gym.
