"A kid on the field is a kid off the streets" is the inspiring motto of Coach Cam, the founder of @realcamcamps.

This non-profit youth football program based in San Jose, California goes beyond teaching the game; it shapes young boys into men. The program serves under-privledged communites has a significant Polynesian presence, reflecting the growing number of Hawaiians moving to the mainland due to the increasing cost of living on the islands. We had the opportunity to visit Cam and his players at the beginning of the 2024 season to learn about the profound impact he has on their lives and the community.

Today is #GivingTuesday, a global generosity movement that encourages people to give back in any way they can. Created in 2012, Giving Tuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and has grown into a worldwide event that inspires hundreds of millions of people to support their communities through acts of kindness, donations, and volunteer efforts. Kīnā‘ole is committed to tackling and transforming socioeconomic disparities and displacement for distressed Native Hawaiians disproportionately affected by historical and cultural traumas. Through various initiatives, Kīnā‘ole strives to enrich a community to develop a thriving society supporting impact projects in areas of land acquisition, community development, health and wellness, business growth, and spiritual and emotional healing.
