As of November 1st, SNAP benefits have been suspended due to the federal government’s failure to pass a budget. Millions of people who were relying on food assistance woke up to find that support gone - with no timeline for when it might return.

For our community members, this isn’t just an inconvenience. It’s a mental health crisis.

The data is clear: food insecurity directly worsens mental health outcomes. When people don’t know where their next meal is coming from, depression and anxiety spike. Parents are skipping meals so their kids can eat. Families are facing impossible choices between rent, medications, and groceries. The stress of not knowing where your next meal will come from takes a devastating toll on mental wellbeing.

We can’t control what’s happening in Washington. But we can control how we respond in our community.

That’s why we’re launching Delivering Hope - partnering with Food Finders to sponsor a mobile food pantry that will bring nutritious food directly to the people who need it most.
