Night Without A Bed is an annual event run by Family Promise of Southern Delaware that raises awareness about family homelessness, a crisis that affects more than 2 million children in this country every year. Imagine sleeping in your car and having to get ready for school or work. Or moving from one motel to another to have a roof overhead.

On October 6th, starting at 5 pm, chaperones and teenage participants aged 12 – 16 from local youth and church groups will sleep outside in tents at the American Legion Post 28 Pavilion in order to simulate the experience of being homeless. In the run-up to the event, participants will challenge friends, neighbors, and family members to join the experience by sleeping without a bed and to contribute financially to Family Promise of Southern Delaware at www.familypromisesouthernde.org.
