At Thanksgiving time in 2024, I sent you an appeal letter specifically noting the emergency situation
we found ourselves in with regard to the funds needed to build the new Saint Paul VI Institute
and associated hospital. This new hospital will allow us to dedicate our time and energy to the type
of surgery really necessary in the advancement of surgical NaProTECHNOLOGY (Life Affirming
Women’s Healthcare) and expand its availability. It was, in some ways, an emergency letter because
we have been working on this project for a very long time. Keep in mind that we are not experts at
this type of fundraising and have struggled with it over the years. Having said that, direct mail has
been our most productive form of fundraising, and, personally, we have been very grateful for your
generosity in giving to it.

I am writing to you at this time to bring a follow-up report on that mailing and an idea of where we
are currently at and what we might yet need.

First of all, when I sent out that letter, we had about $3 million dollars in our building account we had
raised over the last several years. However, we needed $8-10 million dollars to go to lenders, which
will be necessary to help finance this effort. The whole effort is extremely important to the work we
have done over these last 50 years. We have been gifted with the opportunity to work with patients in
a way completely consistent with their ethics and the ethics and values of the physicians. We have also
spread this work throughout the world and now have teachers and physicians on at least six continents.
It is important to keep that in mind as I bring you up to date.

I am very pleased to tell you that we now have additional commitments from the letter I sent. This is in
the amount of a little bit more than $5 million dollars. So, we now have $8 million dollars committed.
We need about $10-11 million dollars to go to the lenders. However, I am elated by the response we

have had from others who see the real need for such a program. I am getting pretty old—I am now 81
years old—but I have trained a group of people who are very capable of carrying this program further,
and I am pleased to tell you that (Including expert and well-trained physicians).

I am writing to you at this time to find out if we can somehow identify $2-3 million dollars to add to
this fund so that when we go to the banks, we will have $10 million dollars or more. We hope to start
going to the banks in the next 2 to 4 weeks.

Again, I recognize that many of you don’t have these types of funds. I also do not have those types of
funds, personally. So, I very much am aware of this. However, at the same time, there are people who
do have these types of funds. I am very pleased to say that I have always had every
confidence and faith we are going to reach that level. So, if you have any relatives or “rich uncles” or
“rich aunts,” or family foundations or other sources, please make an appeal to them on our behalf. We
are so close to the end of this process; I know we will be successful.

Thanks again for everything you have done on our behalf: I cannot tell you how grateful I am and
how grateful all of us who have been involved in this work over many years. I have no doubt this

is a work that will survive long term. I also have no doubt it is the type of work that bringing Pro-
Life values to women and couples and families who desperately want that type of approach. In vitro

fertilization, to be honest with you, does not do that. But NaProTECHNOLOGY does!!!
I personally have been involved in the Pro-Life effort since I was in medical school in the 1960s.
(That is one of the reasons I am so old now.) I know what being Pro-Life means and what it means to
individual people. When we opened the Saint Paul VI Institute, it was not the Saint Paul VI Institute
yet. It has been quite the experience to be the founder of an organization of a person who had not been
canonized but has now been canonized. What a great honor it has been for me and my family over
these years.

This is not to say that I am finished. I still have a few good years left, hopefully! But what I do want to
tell you is this project desperately needs a larger workspace where we can continue our work effort. So,
anything you can do to help, I would be appreciative. Keep in mind we are a 501(c)(3) organization,
and all donations are tax-deductible.

Thanks again for everything you have done on our behalf. I will keep you updated on everything as
we move along. But give me another 3 or 4 weeks to see what the response to this is. THIS IS OUR
EASTER APPEAL! Jesus Christ was incredible! He was the son of God, he was completely human,
he taught us a new way to exhibit love and life in this world, and he was massively criticized and
terrorized, really, in many ways hopelessly berated and tortured. Eventually, he was whipped until
the skin and underlying tissue came off of his bones. He bled profusely, he was nailed to a wooden
cross, and about 3 hours later, he bowed his head and died. But he left a legacy. It included not only
all of the things he taught us, but most importantly, 3 days after he died, he rose from the dead,
giving us all hope that in the future, if we follow him, we too have that hope.
