Post Memorial Day Cleanup 5.27.2025

Come join us for a post Memorial Day weekend Cleanup! POP and Girl Scout Troop 3942 are teaming up to cleanup Carolina Beach (Atlanta Public Beach Access).

The goal of this event is to help clean up Carolina Beach and recover debris that may have accumulated during the Memorial Day weekend festivities. Party decorations, food packaging, and other discarded materials are a major threat to animals and their ecosystem. By participating in this post holiday cleanup you are helping to make a positive impact on the community and preserving the natural environment.

Where: Carolina Beach - Atlanta Public Beach Access

(Atlanta Public Beach Access, Atlanta Ave, Carolina Beach, NC 28428, USA ) *Volunteers can park at Carolina Beach Lake Park (First 2 hours of parking are free!) and then walk to the beach access.

When: May 27th from 5pm to 7pm

Important:

All of the cleanup supplies (Work gloves, grabbers, reusable bags, safety vests, and buckets) will be provided by Plastic Ocean Project.
