Our First Step: Provide Valley Wide Mental Wellness and Substance Recovery Support

“Creating safe environments for Wellness” is our Foundation’s Mission because “safety” should never be the missing PEACE to our Emotional Wellbeing.

We are focused on Holistic Healing, we are driven to create safe and affordable long term housing solutions for those navigating mental wellness and substance abuse disorders. “New Now Village” will be home to our Foundation’s Resources, and offer its residents access to empowerment programs and wraparound services. Programs will cover life and job skills training, and include all aspects of building, as well as some of the lost trades and crafts.

Classes will range from Indigenous Arts to tech. With a Changemaker Space and Changemakers Market as a central hub with Maker Mentors and Peer Support Specialists, residents will have opportunities to learn how to make anything from basic jewelry to custom Tiny Homes. The Tiny Home Owners program will encourage qualified individuals to invest “sweat equity” into the building of their own Tiny Homes, and “Hand Made” items will have the potential of being sold as a source of income for new entrepreneurs.

Since 2012, therapeutic healing through creative processes, self sustainability, and transferable skills, have remained at the top of the list of reasons why the Makers Program has always been at the heART of New Now.

Our Organization and its Programs have been shop/space nomads for years, and it’s finally time for us to put down Roots, and focus on creating a Safe and Stable Basecamp that our commUNITY can call Home.

Reclaiming, Recovering, and Repurposing are no longer just about recycling materials. These beautiful and restorative words have become the poetic personification of New Now.

Visualize an empty shop table made of reclaimed lumber and steel. On it sits several pieces of damaged goods, destined to be “Thrown Away”. The vibe is unconfined, and Collaborators from The Changemakers Program, are brainstorming the potential transformation of these otherwise disposable items. The team will innovate side by side in the co-creation of upcycled Furniture, Art, or Home Design elements. When the finished collaborative piece is placed in the Changemakers Market, its label will have a QR code that includes the word “Stories” and “RE-made with PURPOSE”.

The Code will give access to the history and transformation of the materials used in the making of the project, while also providing insights into the Spiritual Awakenings of the new individuals who made it. It will tell a supporter HOW each of them got HERE, from THERE.
