Empower North County, a 501(c)3 is an organization started by individuals who live, work and play in North County and want to see our community thrive. On December 13th, we will be hosting our 11th annual Empower North County Affordable Christmas Store. Caregivers shop new items priced at 10% of the value. They are provided coffee, a personal shopper to shop alongside them, help with wrapping their gifts, and an experience where their dignity is affirmed. We anticipate 200-300 children from the North County area that will have an opportunity to shop. We also provide an opportunity for teen moms from the Ferguson Florissant Parents as Teachers program to shop, some of them to provide for their children's first Christmas. The store is our year end event that is a capstone for the fall Empower Soccer season with over 600 players, and our monthly food distributions. We believe in bettering the community we love alongside of our neighbors.
