The PTO is grateful to have a strong community. Today, we are reaching out for your
support.

Last year, the Shutesbury Elementary School PTO funded a variety of programs to
enhance student experiences. In the fall, we hosted Bomba de Aqui, a Bomba
Ensemble that taught our entire student body about Puerto Rican culture, drumming
and dance. The Musical Petting Zoo, an educational branch of the Springfield
Symphony, came in April to teach our younger students about musical instruments and
Stars Above, a blow-up Planetarium, came to teach our students about astronomy.
Additionally, we paid for buses for field trips, new garden beds, dinner for Literacy Night
and much more. These wonderful PTO funded programs add experiential learning
opportunities and spark curiosity in our amazing students.

The PTO would like to continue supporting our school by funding educational events,
artists-in-residence, buses for field trips, and more amid rising costs. As we begin the
new school year at Shutesbury Elementary School, we are asking the community for
support. Please help us reach our goal of $5,000 so that we can continue funding
enriching educational programs for our students.

Any amount that you donate would be immensely appreciated by the PTO and the

 $20 Lawn Sign for one graduating 6 th grader
 $50 New PE equipment (i.e. 12 badminton racquets/1 soccer net)
 $60 Scientist school visit for one class (i.e. Planetarium) ($465 total)
 $100 Teacher allocation for one teacher to buy much needed school supplies
 $400 Bus for field trip
 $1000 Artist workshop/performance
